2016 honda civic air conditioner problems.
I have a 09 Civic LX and have the same issues. The car only has around 60,000 miles but has always had this AC issue. If the car sits in the sun on a hot day it takes roughly 15-20 minutes for the AC to get cold. It will blow warm air until you get it onto the highway uniterupted and drive for 15-20 minutes straight.
Air conditioner in 2016 Civic failed in November of 2019. Honda covered the condenser but charge full rack to replace a connecting hose, $450. It currently has almost 76,000 miles on it and I have been noticing that the A/C is blowing warm air at the lowest settings. It didn't have this problem last summer. I don't know if the A/C in this car has had problems before or if it is just starting to go bad now. I have been reading online that A/C problems are common in these newer civics.

Sometimes I just wonder why I had to walk into dealer in Jan 2016 to upgrade my Civic, my previous 2008 was perfectly fine. Its AC problem has haunted me again and again.

Just got delivery of my new 2020 Civic Type R. Air conditioning failure right out of the box. Unit to be replaced but don't they check this stuff before releasing the vehicle?
