ECGS called me the day they were building my gears and recommended I go with 4.88 over 4.56. I ran my 35" mudd grapplers on stock 3.73 for a week. Truck ran fine and was doable. I'm glad I went with the 4.88's truck run 100% better. Definitely can feel the difference truck feels like it lost a ghost trailer I was towing.

There are actually three different and very close ratios that can be used togather which are 4.11, 4.10, and 4.09. Dana uses both 4.10 (41 tooth ring gear, 10 tooth pinion gear) and 4.11 (37 tooth ring gear, 9 tooth pinion gear). The 4.09 ratio (45 tooth ring gear, 11 tooth pinion) is found in Fords and GM products.
