For external, make sure you use the Linux native (appimage) version, launch it in desktop while Steam is not running to configure the controller, then in game mode make sure to ... Make sure Cemu opens in desktop mode, then in desktop mode "install" the game and DLC by clicking on the meta files. "Load" the game in Cemu and make sure it runs in desktop mode. Switch to game mode and it should work! That's the overview of how I did it. 1.Then, in desktop mode, start cemu through steam. If it shows your games, great. If not you might need to add the games folder in the settings, and the mlc folder. Afterwards you should see botw in the list. Right click botw, settings,download newest graphics pack, and then from somewhere in the settings tree you can enable fps++. Not as of now. Doesn't even seem to be a priority to the dev team currently, probably because the game is already fully playable on Cemu. Maybe check back in a year. Cemu did take almost two and a half years to get BotW running stable 30fps on mid-lower end hardware. Yuzu doesn't run BOTW at more than 30fps.
