Check your brake light switch, make sure all lights are working with lite pressure on pedal, if third brake light is out, cruise will not work, also if brake light switch is bad, my wires in connector to switch were bad had to replace switch and connector. If the factory does work, you did make some sort of adjustment to the aftermarket head unit. Now that you have disconnected the power to it, the aftermarket unit should have returned to the factory defaults. Try it again, if the speakers work with the factory unit (minus the cd changer).
