The difference in weight is noticeable. The phase 4 feels like a tank. I also think the Phase 4 is smoother to draw with less of a dump. Not that the Lift is bad, it's just more noticeable. The phase 4 is also more "jumpy" on the release despite the weight difference. It feels violent compare to the lift.

The Hoyt RX7 Ultra 34 is a great bow and is definitely a step up from the Mathews VXR 28. The Hoyt RX7 has a much smoother draw, and it is also longer and more forgiving. Felt like it was just a bit better in the draw cycle and felt better in the hand in my opinion. Wanted to hear others thoughts. Newer to archery and looking to upgrade soon. Stefmiesterb.

I couldn't justify the price for the RX-8, so I looked at the aluminum riser model that's basically the same bow (Ventum I think?), but it has almost the identical specs to the Mathews. So it ultimately came down to the features and the longgggg riser of the Phase 4 33.
