Any good gun lubricant should work fine. My personal preference is for Brian Enos Lite grease on the barrel hood, lugs, the bushing contact area, and a bit on the frame/slide rails of carry guns. Wilson Combat Oil or FrogLube goes on the frame/slide rails of my competition guns, especially 9mm 1911's.
The are 8 rd mags that are standard 7 rd tubes with modified spring/follower to fit an extra round. Many have great luck, many will only carry them with 7 rounds for reliability reasons. I think the short answer is, the 7 round Wilsons should be standard 7 rd tubes and will be flush.
