It's very easy to get the dark side ending by siding with the wrong person on Onderon. The Ebon Hawk always falls into depths of Malachor, IIRC. That doesn't have to do with whether you're LS or DS. If you killed any Jedi Masters or failed to get HK-47, then Malachor V will stay intact.
