Membrane sweep lost mucus plug.

I had a membrane sweep on Wednesday. Lost my mucus plug in 2 separate moments thursday night (both very obvious clear mucus with old dark blood). Friday night through Saturday am I've had spurt of at first pink tinged thicker more tan stuff that seemed more than discharge but maybe just a continuation of mucus plug.Lost parts of my mucus plug all day Tuesday, had diarrhea later in the day and went into labor around 12am Tues night, delivered on Wed at 10pm. Just what you described, pretty crampy and back pain the rest of the day, would lose chucks of mucus, but nothing. We really have no say and no way of knowing unfortunately. Hang in there y’all.

However my midwife said that Monday was out of the time frame of the sweep causing all that action so it was just my body doing its thing. Tuesday now: still pregnant with just a few contractions here and there.I had a membrane sweep at 39 weeks, lost my mucous plug that night and had mild contractions (so mild I could sleep through them) for the next 2 days. Baby came at 39+4 with no other intervention needed. I highly recommend the membrane sweep to anyone on the fence, it was a bit uncomfortable, but very quick and for me it was quite effective.
