Has anyone compared the pattern and velocity for the same birdshot cartridge between the 940 JM pro and the 940 tactical. Yes I know they have a different philosophy of use. I'm leaning towards the 940 JM Pro since 99.9999% of the time I'll be trying to hit clays. The gun was then loaded while the safety was on and he was holding it properly (no finger on the trigger) with muzzle pointing down range.

I had the same problem with a Mossberg 930. I would love to tell you that I am a gun genius, disassembled, immediately located the problem, and repaired. Not the case. No idea what was causing the issue. My guess was trash in the trigger group and it just needed to be shot. Took it apart, cleaned it well. Put 100 rounds through it.This keeps cleaning to a minimum, allowing the gun to run more rounds without issue between cleanings.
