You have to find out when your spark plug is firing if it is firing when its top dead center magneto key should be fine but if not firing top dead center you have problem. I got a new switch and thought it was ready to go but now it cranks and will not start. I pulled a plug and it appeared to have spark. I sprayed ether in the intake and it started and ran for about 1 second. Because its hard to drive and spray started fluid at the same time I need to go further.

Everything could work (lights, winch, etc.) But if the volts aren't high enough it won't crank, only click. You can check fuses and relays, will be a cheaper and easier fix than a new battery. HI Gear only goes 20mph [Update - FIXED] The other day a stick broke my hot wire out of the starter. It clicked like a silenoid or dead battery. I went over the connections and saw the starter wire hanging by a thread and it was shooting sparks when i would turn the key. So I held the starter wire to the starter and it fired right up.

It sounds like you still might not be getting enough power to start the machine. If you have a charger, hook it up to the battery and turn it on and try to start it again. It should pressurize the fuel system on the first turn of the key to on. From there it should hold pressure and the pump should run while cranking to keep pressure to the system. The other day the 2011 tried starting it after sitting for about a month. Would turn over ok, sputtered a couple of times and died. It was 30 degrees out, Tried starting it two more times but it would not fire. Battery was very weak. There is a brake line with the switch attached. 2 wires on top. To test to see if the switch is working depress the brake and see if the brake lights come on. If they do this is not your problem. If no brake lights you can jump across the 2 wires on the switch and rzr should start. Used the ranger several times with no problem starting. If you do then you know your ignition is working. If you do have a spark then pour some gas down the cylander and put back plug and see if it fires.

Seemed to be running on one cylinder for a bit after start, but after running a few minutes would run ok.
