Ford f150 turns over but wont start.

2017 F150 won't crank or start. Hi guys, hope you can help me with this. I have this truck since July and it only has 4000 miles. I had to use jumper cables in 4 occasions because the truck was not starting and at the time I thought it was the battery because I dont use it that much but has never seated for more than a week without using it.2004 F-250 5.4 crank no start. WW above is spot on. First check for diagnostic codes. If none, then my first guess would be a spark problem. You might be able to use a spare spark plug to check for visible spark during cranking. I had the same problem on an older (than yours) Ford truck. I did the spark test and it sparked ok, but produced an orange-ish spark.

One always trouble shoots then parts NEVER the other way around. #1 check that you have a good blue white spark that will jump a 1/4 inch gap at all 4 of the plug wires. #2 pull the carb drain plug and make sure you have a good steady flow of gas that will fill a pint jar in less then 3 minutes and 2 is even better.At cranking the pump is turned on again full time to complete the full pressure allowed by the regulator. When you test for pump performance you need to do a key on several times to see how far the pressure builds. It should build to about 35 psi +/-.
