Don't listen to the souls elitists. These weapons are amazing for their weapon arts. Greatswords are pretty good as weapons, but the only reason you should use them is for their insane unique skills. Some of the best in the game like blasphemous blade, death poker, DMGS, and the sacred relic sword. The infusable ones are useless though.

Sacred is the best for it. Hits everything with one swing. I used Blasphemous until I got Sacred. You can position yourself just right and knock some clean off the cliff. They follow wherever the sword strike ends so wait for them to gather before hitting again. It takes alot longer than Sacred would but it's better than hitting one by one lol
