I didn't like shooting 3-1/2's so I downsized. to a 3" gun. When the 935 shot it put out a great pattern but the Stoeger puts out great patterns also. Both were. great patterning guns in MY experience. The 500/590 is like a 4 door pickup, a versatile workhorse. Good for anything you throw at it. The benelli is more high end sports car. Something breaks you have to buy from the dealership. I rarely see anything for benelli cheap. The 590 you could make it do anything you want with the change of a barrel, and twist of a choke.

Remove the barrel. Use the tip of the mag cap to press out the trigger group pins and remove the trigger assembly. Reach in and remove the bolt. Slide the forend off. That's from memory but I'm pretty sure that's it and that it is in the right order. the Mossberg 500 and the 590 aren't really in the same category to be fair. The Supernova vs the 590 is a much more suitable comparison in my eyes. The Benelli being better balanced and much "nicer", whilst the 590 is built as tough as any gun I've ever seen. if clubbing an elephant to death is a consideration potentially, 590.

People seem to like the SXP. Keep in mind it is a lower-cost Turkish gun, so make sure you don't pay Nova prices for one. I saw SXP's on sale for $200 recently. That's a good deal.
