However after searching the internet for answers, I read that the x compact slide is 7 inches and the subcompact slide is 6.63 inches.

Both are fine pistols. The P320 is wider and heavier. That helps the P320 shoot better in my opinion but it is harder to conceal. Not hard to conceal but harder than my P365. I have a Hellcat Pro which is about the same size as the P365 XL. If I were to get only 1 I'd get the size of the P365 X or XL. Probably the XL.X carry was discontinued by Sig. The Sig P320 beats the Glock is all categories including ergonomics, trigger, sights and accuracy to name a few. If I were you I would go for the Sig P320 X-Compact rather than the P320 ...
Considering the P320 Compact (not X-Compact) vs the P320 X-Carry, I believe the slide/barrel assembly is the same length. Remember also that there are two versions of the X-Carry!
