There was a guy on here who made 750hp at 5800rpm 740tq with 557, kaase p-51 heads unported, 9.8 comp, 1050 dominator, hydraulic roller with about .600 lift it too was for jet boat on pump fuel. So the answer is yes 800hp is doable using the correct matching parts.

Without knowing what you're doing its hard to make a recommendation of "best" but if a cast crank, I or H-beam rod and a forged piston is what you're looking for they're a good option.
