I’ve been trying to use the official Pico-8 Raspberry Pi emulator to work on my RGB30 running ArkOS with use of the guidance from Retro Game Corps. However when going into the device and choosing Pico-8, Fake08 is used to open the games. I’ve got into settings and changed the Emulator option to Retroarch but Fake08 is still being used.

RGB30 all the way, at least for now in some regards. Love the screen res for those early gens and pico-8. Biggest issue for me is the custom firmware options for RGB30 (JELOS / ARKOS) over the H (nothing stable). As for the black bars on gba there are some things you can do to mitigate that if you don't mind a little cutoff.
Rgb30 is just a unique case with a higher resolution screen than most non-widescreen handhelds (including the 2S), a slightly larger screen than most of them since many are 3.5in while this one is 4 inch, and the 1:1 aspect ratio ends up being a great all around fit for the majority of older consoles especially handhelds like gameboy/color/ngpc. From the description, looks like it would only back up a single directory, but ArkOS puts the save files (.srm) with the ROM, so they are spread across all platform folders.Turn WiFi on.
