Padme of CLS can do the older ones but for Malgus the only non GL team that really works is Sith trio, Malak and Talon. Padme/CLS can do the easiest events. I've tried Rey, SLKR and JMK (no ult) on the more recent events the last time PG rolled round. For me, Rey is the easiest to complete any given PG with.

Personally, I'm planning on giving him two omicrons, all zetas and relic him up to 7. Watch Ahnald's recent arena stream. Ben, Rey, HODA fucked his day up. Ready to relic 5 him + apply 3 zetas in 3 days, no Omis for awhile. But those Kyros/shockprods could also be used toward my GL farm. I 3* the new Admiral Trench tier with JML (R9) (L), JKL (R7), JKR (R3), Hyoda (R4) and Yoda (R3). Kill order for me was the Sniper droid summon, WAT, Jango, Trench, Nute and lastly Dooku. Same here. Bought Conquest Pass+ specifically for this, so that I could unlock Malgus with the two Proving Grounds (30 shards away). Grievous, Padme ...Gideon, in particular, is one of the only starter characters you get given at 3 stars right from the get-go (and he's a lot more useful than Old Ben, the other one). The biggest mistake early-game players make it to spread themselves too thin. Sockenolm. The best team you can build from her requirements includes the hero bros and 1-2 tanks (JTR, Holdo, or L3 if you have her. I think she's included in one of the packs). If you only use 1 tank throw in BB-8, or R2 in a bind. You can also fill up the team with Barriss or Cal if you have them.
