At least for me, I use it for bruiser kha. But test out different playstyle and find the one that fits you. You will want to take R evolve asap to gank easier and escape easily, Q evolve is good early game however once you get 40% cooldown it is not as useful, E evolve is good to get early if you have a few kills.

If the Rengar goes bruiser, with ~3k hp and a Zhonias then I feel rengar wins overall. But usually its who is more fed and gets the jump on the enemy. That is why its a better item on bruiser kha than assassin. Cleaver is not core, it's situational but if you wanna play bruiser you can take Conq (Runes on comprehensive guide and Playstyle e.t.c on the academy discussions, located in the wiki) for items it's generally the same with PERSONAL PREFERENCE delaying Dusk for Cleaver.
I agree. Kha’zix is very fun to play but compared to other characters it feels like you could be playing someone who could be doing what Kha’zix does but better. W evolve is also good with the bruiser Kha, because you get a lot of haste and you can spam W and annoy your enemies. I dont lane with Kha but there are some laning playstyles where W is maxed and evolved 1st. Also evolving E when you are not snowballing is really bad. You need to take advantage of the reset or the ability will feel kinda useless.Can also build hydra for insane omnivamp.
